We are deeply saddened by the passing of His Excellency Dr. Hage Geingob, the President of Namibia, on 4 February 2024. We send our deepest sympathies to the people of the Republic of Namibia. His advocacy for human rights, democracy, and socioeconomic development on the African continent has been invaluable. We attribute to him the remarkable and deeply entrenched relations that exist between South Africa and Namibia, and we remain committed to the unwavering friendship and collaboration that exists between the two countries. May his soul rest in peace and his legacy live on forever.
