A Sitting of the House is a regular meeting of the Members of the Provincial Legislature, chaired by the Speaker of the Legislature, Honourable Ntombi Mekgwe. Ordinary Sittings take place in the House Chamber at the Gauteng Provincial Legislature Building in central Johannesburg. The calendar of Sittings is decided on at the beginning of each term by the Programming Committee, which looks at all activities of the Legislature. This Sitting is a Question Day, an opportunity for the Members of the Executive Council to answer oral and written questions posed by Members of the Provincial Legislature.
