The Gauteng Provincial Legislature’s Chairperson of Committees, Honourable Sizakele Nkosi-Malobane will on Thursday, 14 September 2023 continue with the provincial wide series of roadshows at the Kagiso Community Hall in Kagiso from 08h00.
The roadshows bring together both public and private sector services that empower and educate widows or widowers and children heading households on the services available at their disposal as an intervention to curbing and addressing ongoing poverty, inequality, and unemployment amongst communities. It is reported that post the Covid-19 pandemic, a surge in the deaths of household breadwinners has led to households being led by uninformed widows/widowers and underage children.
Therefore, the GPL under the mandate of Corporative Governance has brought in different services such as the Deeds Office, department of Home Affairs, Indigent and social development municipal offices, Master of High Court; Legal Services, Insurance Companies/services to be part of the many services that will be at the disposal of communities during the roadshows.
