STANDING COMMITTEE SCHEDULED A STAKEHOLDERS’ CONSULTATIVE SESSION WITH THE GAMBLING SECTOR.

The Gauteng Provincial Legislature (GPL) Standing Committee on Scrutiny of Subordinate Legislation will be conducting an external meeting, with stakeholders within the Gambling Sector. This will take place on Thursday, 30 March 2023 from 10h00-15h30 at The Fairway Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort.

The purpose of this consultative session is to allow the invited stakeholders within the sector to make representations on how the Gauteng Gambling Regulations impact on their business processes and operations. Today’s meeting is part of GPL’s mandate of ensuring that Laws passed in the province achieve the desired impact, through the post legislative scrutiny process. More than 15 role players in the Gambling industry are excepted take part in this meeting.

This process forms part of the committee’s law-making process and public participation mandate of involving the relevant stakeholder to the engagement.
