The Gauteng Provincial Legislature Portfolio Committee on Social Development, led by Chairperson Hon. Nomathemba Mokgethi, is holding a public meeting with the Gauteng Provincial Department of Social Development, South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) and interested stakeholders. The discussion will include a Departmental Presentation on 2nd Quarter Performance Report for 2023/24, and SASSA presentation on the non-payment of grants to affected beneficiaries for 2023/24.
An added discussion point is the public meeting is a presentation from City of Tshwane on the progress made on the commitments from year 2020 regarding the closure of the Nov 2 Homeless shelter and future plans for the beneficiaries of the shelter.
