The Committee on Scrutiny of Subordinate Legislation is conducting a Workshop aimed at training Hon. Members on the Constitutional Law and the relation to subordinate legislation. The workshop will play a pivotal role in assisting Hon. Members of the Committee to gain better understanding of issues around the Constitutional Law and the Scrutiny of Subordinate Legislation Act, 2011 as amended.

The workshop is organized in the form of interactive mixture of presentations by the facilitator, group
discussions and practical exercises. Members will be given an opportunity to analyze different delegated
legislations and Bills as part of practical exercises and to enhance their understanding of the process.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES
a) To enhance the capacity of Members in the area of Constitutional Law.
b) To introduce Members to the relationship between the Constitution and subordinate legislation.
c) To expose Members to strategies, tools and areas that are vital to interpret various aspects of the
Constitution, specifically those related to the work of the Committee.
d) To empower Members to rigorously engage the executive on the technicalities matters regarding the
Constitution.
