GAUTENG METRO POLICE TO APPEAR BEFORE COMMUNITY SAFETY COMMITTEE
The Gauteng Provincial Legislature’s Portfolio Committee on Community Safety will on Tuesday, 20 June 2023, convene a meeting with the Political and Administrative Heads of Metro Police Departments from different Metropolitan Municipalities in Gauteng.
The purpose of this meeting is to allow these entities to give an account to the Committee on their contribution in fighting crime in their respective Municipalities as well as their role in enforcing Municipal By-laws.
The Committee has also invited representatives from the Private Security Industry as well as Business Against Crime to make presentations on their contribution in fighting crime in Gauteng Province.
This critical meeting will also serve to strengthen already existing strategic cooperation amongst various entities in the fight against crime.
