The Environment, Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment Committee from the Gauteng Provincial Legislature will
be convening a committee meeting with the Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development as well as the
Gauteng Department of Environment. The purpose of the meeting is to consider presentations by both Departments on their
2nd Quarterly Performance for 2025/26 FY and presentations on their Annual Performance Report for the 2024/25 FY. The
meeting aims to scrutinize the performance of the two Departments with respect to their financial and non-financial
performance and with the Executive Authority giving account on all matters raised by the Committee. In addition to this and
as part of corporative governance, the Portfolio Committee will also engage with the Auditor General on the audit outcome
related to these Departments. This is with the aim of strengthening oversight and ensuring that accountability is provided by
the Executive Authority.
