GPL hosted the Thought Leadership Seminar to commemorate the signing of the Constitution into law and the establishment of the National Council of Provinces (NCOP) under the theme “Celebrating 20 Years of the Constitution and the NCOP”.
The seminar aims to attract and host diverse ideas from different backgrounds inter alia politicians from different parties, political analysts, academics, civil society groups and experts from academia and research institutions, the legal and political fraternity. The seminar will capture the rich history and the path travelled towards a free and democratic South Africa as well as contributing to the current state of discourse in an attempt to shape the role of legislatures in a constitutional democracy.
