Members of the GPL Men’s Forum visited Bree & Noord taxi ranks to give these major Johannesburg transport hubs a much needed clean-up as part of the Hlwekisa Campaign.

The forum, which consists of male members and staff of GPL, undertook the campaign to encourage Gauteng residents to be agents of the change they want to see in society. The clean-up drive will start at 10:00 at Bree Taxi Rank and proceed to Noord Taxi Rank (MTN). We call on men to dispose of waste appropriately to contribute to cleaner, healthier public spaces.

The campaign also aims to create public awareness among taxi drivers and general commuters about general hygiene, environmental preservation and health benefits of maintaining clean environments.

The GPL Men’s Forum envisages reaching out to all men in every corner of the province, urging them to be agents of social change.
