Helping Young Women achieve their Dream
As part of ongoing activities to commemorate Women’s month, the Gauteng Provincial Legislature (GPL) will on Tuesday, 22nd August 2017 host fifty (50) post-matric girls for a job-shadowing programme . These learners are in their third year of studies and this programme is in partnership with GPL Human Resources, Women Multi-Party Caucus and Vodacom.
This initiative will see GPL’s Women Senior Management dedicating their time to engage and inspire young women to thrive as future leaders. This will be through showcasing the diligent work which they do on daily basis. The aim of this programme is to prepare and educate these young women about the work environment.
The young women will each be paired to one Senior Manager wherein they will spend the day observing the professional as she goes about her job. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about a career and a chance to practice interacting with adults at a professional level.
