GPG DEPARTMENTS TO ACCOUNT TO THE LEGISLATURE ON DELAYED
INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS

The Gauteng Provincial Government (GPG) Departments and its MECs are scheduled to appear before the Provincial Legislature’s Portfolio Committee on Infrastructure Development & Property Management to provide an account on delayed infrastructure development projects, particularly in the education and health sectors. These projects, aimed at providing essential services to communities, have experienced significant delays, hindering the government’s ability to fulfill its obligations to the public. Consequently, the Committee has called upon the Departments of Infrastructure Development & Property Development, Department of Education, and the Department of Health to explain the reasons behind these delays and to provide solutions to expedite project completion.


Projects to be addressed include:

  • Rusoord Middle School
  • Kwa-Dedangendlale Secondary School

  • Kopanong Hospital
