The Speaker of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature Honourable Ntombi Mekgwe  took a second jab of the vaccination against COVID-19 on Tuesday, 17 August 2021 and calls on the people of Gauteng to get their COVID-19 jabs. 

The Speaker, who got her jab at Monty Motloung Hall in Duduza in Ekurhuleni, urged people to protect themselves and others from COVID-19 by getting vaccinated. 

The Speaker also reiterated the Government’s concerns about the reluctance of some people especially men to get vaccinated and urged them to get vaccinated to bring an end to the spread of this deadly pandemic.

The Speaker also called on the people to stay safe by taking some simple precautions such as physical distancing, wearing a mask, keeping rooms well ventilated, avoiding crowds, cleaning their hands and coughing into a bent elbow or tissue.
