The Committee noted that, in the quarter under review, the Department was able to spend R1 399 624 000 (19%) of the allocated budget. GMA was able to spend R528 192 000 (28.83%) whilst G-fleet managed to spend R134 301 000 (18.17%) in this quarter. Taking into consideration the financial performance per programme, the Department and G-fleet are again reflective of slow spending patterns of the allocated budget within the acceptable standards in the first quarter. The Committee urges both the Department and G-fleet to put measures in place to avoid under spending of the budget and low levels of achieving set service delivery targets.
