GPL is once again hosting Gauteng delegates to the National Council of Provinces (NCOP) as part of NCOP Provincial Week. The theme of this year’s NCOP Provincial Week is “Building Sustainable, Responsive and People-Centred Municipalities”.
About NCOP Provincial Week
NCOP Provincial Week is one of the NCOP’s programmes, which is aimed at affording Gauteng’s delegates to Parliament, specifically the NCOP, as well as Members of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature (MPLs) an opportunity both to get first-hand experience of the issues the people of Gauteng face and to be able to elevate provincial matters onto the national agenda.

Extraordinary joint sitting of the National Assembly and National Council of Provinces, where President Cyril Ramaphosa will address the two Houses of the Parliament of South Africa on the scourge of violence against women at 14:00. The President’s address will be followed by a debate of Members of Parliament.
